Therapy FAQs

At Full Bloom Counseling, we want you to feel informed and comfortable as you begin therapy. Below, we’ve answered some of the most common questions about our services, fees, insurance, and policies. If you have additional questions, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Do You Accept Insurance?

We do not bill insurance directly, but many clients receive reimbursement for therapy services. Insurance companies often require therapists to accept significantly reduced rates, submit extensive paperwork, and assign mandatory diagnoses, which can interfere with truly client-centered care. However, you may still be reimbursed for sessions.

Here’s how to check:

1. Call your insurance provider and ask about out-of-network mental health benefits.
2. If eligible, request a Superbill (a detailed receipt for services). We can provide this upon request.
3. Submit the Superbill to your insurance for potential reimbursement.

What is the No Surprises Act, and How Does it Affect Therapy Costs?

The No Surprises Act is a federal law designed to protect patients from unexpected medical bills, especially from out-of-network providers. At Full Bloom Counseling, we fully comply with this law and provide transparent pricing for all therapy services. Before starting treatment, you will receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) outlining expected costs so you can plan for therapy without financial surprises.
