My Philosophy
I am passionate about helping people explore who they authentically want to be in the world.
There are times in life where we feel lost, stuck, and overwhelmed by the complexity of emotions that encompass the human experience. Therapy can help us look at these feelings and learn to work with them, instead of resisting or avoiding them.
The ability to communicate your needs and desires honestly with partners, family, friends, and co-workers can help you learn to live with more freedom and joy.
I believe we are all seeking meaningful connections and experiences whether at home or at work. Engaging in therapy provides an opportunity to explore what drives you, and also re-evaluate the things that hold you back.
Together I hope to be a partner and ally in the therapy process. Highlighting the important life experiences, values, and perspectives you bring to the table will help us in moving forward to establish your own personal goals and objectives for therapy.
My Background
Advocating for my client’s mental health and well-being has always guided me throughout my career. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked with adults with disabilities and their families. I became passionate about helping individuals discover their true potential, while simultaneously addressing day-to-day challenges through collaborative problem solving.
I also worked in hospice care as a grief counselor. Pain and loss deserve the experience of being witnessed- It is only then that there becomes more room for joy and healing. I believe that we not only grieve during the loss of a loved one, but also during times of transition, relationship loss, and new beginnings. Engaging in therapy allows us the opportunity to look at the different experiences of loss you have experienced and inquire into what there is to learn from these moments.
I know personally how hard it is to walk into the therapy room for the first time and begin this process. I hope to be able to gain your trust, and help you build upon the resilience you already have inside of you. If you have been contemplating therapy, give me a call to see if I am a good fit for you!
When I am not working, I’m usually at Red Rocks seeing one of my favorite bands, on a road trip exploring Colorado, or reading on my back deck. Days at the Botanic Gardens or walks through the park help me slow down and enjoy beautiful Colorado.

“Probably the biggest insight is that happiness is not just a place, but also a process. Happiness is an ongoing process of fresh challenges and. . . it takes the right attitudes and activities to continue to be happy.” (Ed Diener)
